NYC Public Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels
It is not easy to run the largest public school in the country, especially when it is halfway during the school year. Chancellor Kamar Samuels is well aware of this since he had experience in the New York City Public Schools prior to his appointment. In his first few months as Chancellor, he allowed the public to meet him and address any concerns they had as he began his tenure. This five borough conversation series took place at different high schools and was a great opportunity for anyone interested in meeting the new Chancellor to take part in the conversation. I was honored to join other community members, parents, government officials, and students as we voiced our opinions about the most pressing issues in our school system.
